形态描述
一种体型较大的鳅科鱼类。头及体前躯较平扁，尾柄低而长。口裂大；唇狭窄，唇面光滑或具浅皱褶。须中等长。背鳍末根不分枝鳍条的下半部变硬。体无鳞，皮肤具短杆状皮质棱突。
生物学
The Huanghe loach is a food fish, the body length is about 100-180 mm. It occurs only in the upper reaches of the Huanghe River and lives in the rapid current streams
over gravelly bottom. When the ice breaks in spring , they migrate upstream and spawn.
